What's Keeping You From Exercising?

It's no secret that physical exercise is essential to well-being, yet millions of people will not do it.  Even though exercising makes you feel great, helps you lose weight, tones your muscles people won't do it.  Even when someone can stay focused long enough to see physical results, they somehow continue to fall off the bandwagon and go back to leading their sedentary lifestyles.

I want to know, right now, what are the top 3 reasons why YOU don't exercise on a regular basis.  I want every single person that reads this page to leave a comment and give their reasons.  Feel free to comment anonymously, it's just to stimulate discussion.

Maybe by leaving a comment and by reading other people's comments, you will see that you are not alone in being lazy!  haha

I'll start:  I do my best to work out regularly, but when I don't work out, I would say my top 3 reasons usually are:

  1. I am too exhausted from my day at work
  2. I'm too hungry/weak because I was bad and skipped a meal
  3. I was in a bad mood
Your turn.........

Welcome!

This is my triumphant return back to the world of blogging. Some of you may have been readers of my other blog "Life in LA", but I took a break from that to fully concentrate on work and on acting.

Now, I recently decided that as I continue down that path, I wanted to find a way to utilize all the knowledge that I acquired during my short time in medical school. I learned an incredible amount of information and thought it would be a good idea to help other people. I have many different ideas in my head that I am sorting through, but I wanted to get this blog up and running and start some discussions.

I am a health nut. I love the idea of eating healthy, keeping my body pure, working out, and feeling good. I'm totally into the whole "mind-body-spirit" thing and want to share the things I have leaned with other people so they can feel good too. This blog is going to serve as a discussion board of sorts on various subjects pertaining to health, fitness and healthy weight loss. I'll have regular posts providing information, debunking myths, answering questions and just facilitating discussions on various health topics.

In the meantime, I will also be writing a book. It's in the works now, and as time goes on, I'll talk about the kinds of things that will be put into the book. The book will mostly involve diet and exercise, getting healthy and how to lose weight the healthy way and it will also include how to use my "secret weapon" to drop pounds super fast! More on that later when I get things all sorted out.

So, I hope this blog will eventually inspire people to make changes in their lives because your body and how you feel should always be the most important priorities in your life. Sometimes it just feels good to feel good, and you'll feel good more often when you're healthy.

Hopefully you will save this blog's address and come here regularly to just talk and discuss and even share your ways of staying healthy to help someone else. There is a lot of misinformation out there. I talk to people everyday and am blown away by some of the things they tell me. Things they think they know about what's healthy and what's not. As a former medical school student and someone who worked as a student doctor, I want to be able to guide people in the right direction. Losing weight doesn't have to be hard, it's not impossible and you certainly don't have to give up your favorite foods. It takes a little bit if discipline, determinations and persistence. That's discussed in detail in my book, however.

Let's not waste anymore time; on to the first topic..........
